AES Aqcuired by WHD Holdings Peachtree City, GA, Dec. 23, 1998 -- John E.
Hallberg, CEO of Alternate Energy Systems, Inc. (AES), and Wolfgang Driftmeier, president
of WHD Holdings, Inc. (WHD), announced today that they have completed the sale of AES to
WHD.
John Hallberg, 76, and David Williams, president of
AES, have announced that they will retire in March of 1999, after contributing actively to
the smooth transition to the new ownership. Thereafter, both will be available to AES as
consultants.
All staff of AES will remain in place. The company
will continue to do business at its present location in Peachtree City, GA, maintaining
the name Alternate Energy Systems, Inc.
AES was founded by John Hallberg in 1974 and has
built a reputation as the leading manufacturer of vaporizers and mixers, used in propane
standby systems throughout the world. Approximately 40% of AES’s sales is in export. |
