AES introduces
new Gravitometer for LPG/Air Mixtures, GraviBlend™-3.

-- Alternate Energy Systems, Inc., the leading manufacturer of LPG
and LPG/Air Systems announced today that it is now offering a new
generation of gravitometers for LPG/Air Mixtures, Model GraviBlend™-3.
The product is a completely new
design, expected to quickly replace other gravitometers that are based on
almost 80-year-old technology. It offers accuracy, ruggedness,
reliability, easy operation, and the capability to be integrated in
manually controlled or fully automated LPG/Air mixing systems at
substantially lower cost than any other product currently offered on the
US market.
Three different configurations of the
product target operators and service personnel of standby systems and peak
shaving systems. Available is a version for standard applications in
non-hazardous installations, an explosion-proof version, and a
portable version.
All models of the GraviBlend-3 use a
unique gas density transmitter with acoustic sensor, and an electronic
signal processor with local display and operator interface. The properties
of the mixed gas can be displayed as Specific Gravity, Calorific Value, or
Wobbe Index. An analog output with 4 to 20 mA signal for external
recording instruments is standard.
The main advantages of the new
product over the old technology are the absence of any moving parts,
electronic signal processing instead of mechanical links and drive belts,
and its considerably lower price (savings are approximately 35%).
